Our Company’s name has been chosen in honour of a famous ancient Persian doctor, Avicenna, who had become a milestone in the science of medicine and whose principles of treatment are still applicable today. He is regarded as the father of the modern medicine for introducing systematic experimentation and quantification into the study of physiology and contributing to the discovery of contagious diseases. He is also considered as the father of the fundamental concept of momentum in physics. His most famous works are The Book of Healing, a vast philosophical and scientific encyclopaedia, and The Canon of Medicine which was a standard medical text at many medieval universities. The Canon of Medicine was used as a text-book in the universities of Montpellier and Louvain as late as 1650.
Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth.
